Cinderella’s Values

I watched Cinderella 1 again after so many years. And this time I’m very happy to discover some values in it.

The song ‘A dream is a wish your heart makes’ sung by Cinderella gives me hope. Cinderella believes that if she keeps on believing, her dream will come true.

When her stepsisters torn her pink dress before going for the ball; when her stepmother locked her in her room to prevent her from trying the glass slipper brought by the servant of the king from the castle just in case she was the girl who danced with the prince, she did not give up. The rats, birds, and dog helped her from getting the key back until opening the door.

The animals helped her because she has always been kind to them. Be kind to people as we might need their help one day.

Lastly, I think good things always come to good people.

Life is unexpected

Life is always full of surprises!

I went to other areas at Georgetown. On my way back home, I passed by a Chinese restaurant because I was lazy to stop by and eat. But then I told myself that I deserved a good lunch since I did not have a proper breakfast this morning, and so I went back to the Chinese restaurant.

I ordered my food in Mandarin. The boy sitting next to the table which I was sitting turned his head and kept on looking at me. After the waitress left, he started to talk to me. He told me he’s from Taiwan and he thought I might need help to order food because I seemed to have some difficulties and that’s why he turned and looked at me just now. That’s so kind of him!

He thought I am also a Taiwanese since I was speaking Mandarin. He is only 16 years old and he goes to travel alone every year. He is very brave and independent. We continued to talk and talk and we became friends.

If I didn’t go to eat at the restaurant and sit at the table which I preferred to sit, I would never knew him. Everything happens for a reason. God’s arrangement is the best!
